Hi friends, my name is Jordyn and I am so happy you are reading this. I am helping Operation Christmas Child this year to fill shoeboxes with presents to give to children in other countries to tell them about Jesus. My goal for this challenge is to have 5,000 shoeboxes made to give to children who do not have much stuff.
If I could send my shoebox anywhere in the world, I would send it to Nepal or Haiti. I would send the box to Nepal because they had a bad earthquake and many people lost everything they had. If I received a shoebox filled with a teddy bear, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, some clothes and toys after I lost everything, it would make me really, really, really, happy. I would also like to send a shoebox to Haiti because I know the people are poor and do not have a lot, so I think they would also be happy to receive the gift.
Faith Like a Child will be donating $1,000 to the Youth Group (Children’s Ministry and/or JH/HS Ministry, or School) that packs the most shoeboxes to help kids who can’t afford to go to youth stuff. If you want to be a part of this challenge, please fill out the form below by October 15th, 2015, so we can send you all the information you need.
The National Collection week for Operation Christmas Child is November 16-23rd and I was hoping all the Youth Groups could have a packing party or collection day during this week. The challenge will end on November 30th. Please take lots of pictures and share them with us on our Facebook Page!
This Challenge has BEGUN! We have 15 groups that will be filling shoeboxes with this Youth Challenge! Check back for updates on the progress!
